It has passed 70 years since end of Winter war and still today war is remembered as most important war of Finland, as unifier of Finland after bloody civil war. While in Russia it is considered only as border skirmish and as a war that didn't exist to some generations at all. We feel it is important to remember fallen and veterans of both side.

Today Finland celebrates its 92nd independence day and we give you something to watch as addition (or instead) to "Linnanjuhlat" on TV.
Today we have released second video about mods features. This one is showing multiple machineguns, wing cutting and engine burning for planes, also you can see grenade spinning that should make grenades look more realistic and finally, but not least we show a little bit how mods actual artillery is working with forward observer.
Artillery will be directed with artillery that is actually present and as anybody they can also run out of ammo, currently interface for this is very easy for mission maker and player. Hope you enjoy and comment it in our forums and don't forget to check SVT-38 while you're in there.

Today it passed 70 years from beginning of Winter War and dawn of WW2 to for Finland.
This war was not insignificant to Finnish and it would cause two more wars to suffer in short period of time.
What made this war so notable was that small Finland of 4 million inhabitants stood ultimately alone against military might of Soviet Union and came out of the war independant state. Even though many nations gave aid and many volunteers from all around world came to defend Finland, no official military forces were commited to Finlands aid.
War raged for 105 days and was costly for both sides, but more notably for Soviet Union.
Even if war ended to harsh peace terms it served as reminder that some countries won't submit to threats of bigger and stronger.

So now we have a mortar which looks like a toy, howevet it is rather useful tool when you want to harass enemy before attack or provide cover for a retreat. Weapon will be portable, which makes it handy support weapon for squad, platoon and bigger units.
This mortar will defianently find its place in MP as well as in SP.

Yet another tank rolls out of factory, this time a new brand from great modeller Steelexia. Thanks to him we have been able to get this beauty out for a show in record time. BT-series tanks were "cavalry tanks", they were lightly armored, but fast and dangerous. These tanks fit perfectly for Soviet "penetrate & push to rear"-tactics at Winter war. BT-series also lead to developement of T-34 which is concidered as one of the best tanks in WW2, if not the best.

I have been busy with my new computer and other work I had, so I have been negleting homepage updates.
However we have been busy and we've managed to make Fokker D.XXI as well as other great stuff, some which are not even shown yet.

As ArmA2 has been released and most intrest seems to shift towards its direction. We felt that its good idea to let people know about our plans. General outlining is that we will make first release to ArmA and after that we port it to ArmA2. Also its possible that following releases will be made on both games.

We made a promise that we release for ArmA and we will keep that promise. Now enjoy some ArmA2 testing pictures.

Not every finnish soldier wore snow camo and most of those who did wore this uniform under it. It was protecting fairly well from weather, infact it was so warm that they made seperate summer uniform jacket for warmer weather. M/36 uniform was more common to second line troops that didn't get snow camo, but it wasn't rare sight in front line either.

Today is official veterans day in Finland.
This event is held annually 27.4 for finnish and swedish veterans who fought in Finlands wars at 1939-1940, 1941-1944 and 1944-1945.

This is also good reminder for generations after them and to come. What price our veterans, those who survived and those who fell from wars, paid for our freedom, independance and our way of living. When you visit eastern Europe, it is not hard to see what Finland could have been if men and woman of Finland wouldn't have had sense of duty and will to defend their homeland. We also should not forget those who aided Finland when our need was greatest, your free-willing sacrifice should never be forgotten.

Soon our veteran generation will pass beyond veil and it is up to us who are left behind to make sure that your effords will never be forgotten and ensure that knowledge of this will be passed down to generations to come.

FWW2 mod wants to do our part that your sacrifices and deeds would not be forgotten and that they're respected on full extend it deserves.
